Halda Watch Race Pilot Limited Edition for Group 63, the Largest Club for Mercedes AMG Owners
Swedish brand Halda Watch Co has designed and produced 63 unique timepieces exclusively for Group 63 members, the largest club for Mercedes AMG owners.
The Limited Edition watch for Group 63 is based on Halda’s previous models made for NASA/ESA astronauts and the Halda Race Pilot which won the prestigious award The European Watch of the Year. In total 63 individually numbered timepieces will be produced and the first watch will be handed over to the Crown Prince of Dubai.
In 2014, Halda launched the Race Pilot model as a sequel to the Space Discovery, which was worn by Swedish astronaut Christer Fuglesang during his mission at the International Space Station. When the Race Pilot was awarded The European Watch of the Year for Design Excellence, Halda got the chance to create a limited edition for the legendary racing track Nürburgring.
Group 63 is based in the United Arab Emirates and the Crown Prince of Dubai is an honorary member and will receive the first watch of the series. The Crown Prince’s watch is already finished and Halda’s Mikael Sandström is currently awaiting royal audience in order to present the No.1 watch in person.
This special watch is delivered in a handmade wooden box with two interchangeable time modules, one mechanical with a movement by Swiss manufacturer Zenith and one digital Racing module with highly sophisticated functions. Together with the military grade GPS unit, the Trackmaster, this watch is the ultimate tool for racing.
